No-Scalpel Vasectomy:
Safe, Quick, and Virtually Painless
A modern, minimally invasive solution for permanent birth control—done in less than 30 minutes.
What is a no-scalpel vasectomy?
A no-scalpel vasectomy is a minimally invasive procedure designed to provide permanent contraception. Unlike traditional methods, it uses a tiny puncture instead of an incision, ensuring minimal discomfort and faster recovery.
What are the benefits of a vasectomy?
Virtually painless with no large incisions. You will walk out of the clinic after your procedure!
Quick procedure (usually under 30 minutes).
Faster recovery—return to normal activities within a few days.
Over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy.
Minimal scarring and reduced risk of complications.
What is the process?
Consultation: Book an appointment here. You must wait 72 hours (per CA law) prior to actually getting the vasectomy performed.
Preparation: The only mandatory preparation is stopping medications as requested per Dr. Chu, as well as shaving the area.
Gameday: Local anesthesia will be utilized via a very small needle on both sides of the scrotum. Inhaled nitrous oxide is available for an extra cost. TV and/or music will be tuned to your liking.
Procedure: Will be less than 30 minutes (generally much faster), where a small puncture is made to access and block the vas deferens.
Aftercare: Simple recovery instructions with follow-up care.
